Saved by the Bell :)

Last night I made a delicious dinner! Italian breaded chicken, lima beans and biscuits!!
After dinner I had a "dessert" biscuit with butter and raspberry jam~yum!! My chicken looks kinda freaky though, like it has a leg! Ew! Anyways....this morning I had my normal bowl of Honey Nut Cheerios and a banana boat (if your new to my blog, a banana boat is a banana cut in half smeared with peanut butter! yum!) I ran 2 miles on the treadmill while watching Saved By The Bell! My all time favorite show when I was a teenager!! I watched it alllll the time!!
After my run, I made some chili for tonight's dinner. It's raining, again, so I thought chili would be the perfect cozy dinner!
I babysit my cousin Helena this morning while my other cousin Tiya went to the doctor. Helena and I played, roller skated, and watching some Curious George on her iPad. She sat on the kitchen table and watched, so sweet :)

Wish it was cool for me to sit on the kitchen table and watch tv!! Anyways, I am off to work now. It's going to be a long night. They just admitted my pap to the hospital with pneumonia so my mind is definitely not going to be on working.....
Question: Did you watch Saved by the Bell growing up? Do you still? :)

Mondays are for SHOPPING!

....because I'm going shopping!! Happy Monday~I got this cool image from Pinterest. It's really got me addicted and inspired. I've found some really cool pics on there that make me want to re-do my whole house!! Uh-oh!! Last nights dinner was sloppy joes, french fries and sugar snap peas.
The buns are Sara Lee whole wheat 80 calorie buns. They are soooo good! I don't really like french fries, I am weird I know but I do like the burnt crispy fries! I ate wwaaaayyyy too much watermelon last night and went to bed in a watermelon coma. Breakfast was honey nut cheerios and a banana boat!
This has been my favorite breakfast lately! I love cereal!! Yum! Today I went shopping! I love Ulta! I could spend all day in that store (and my whole paycheck) so I left with only a mascara and a free nail polish. Then I went to the mall and got some workout clothes at Old Navy! I got running shorts for $6 and a matching tank top with a built in sports bra! I also got yoga pants on the sale rack for $11! Underwear at Victoria's Secret and a Fedora hat to wear to the beach in 2 weeks :)
I also picked up some peanut butter fudge! YAY! I ate a couple pieces in the car while driving home!
I am meeting Abram at the gym at 5pm to show off my bench pressing skills. I'm also gonna run while I'm there since I didn't do it this morning! Hope your having a good start to your week!

Watermelon 101!

Yes, I bought another watermelon (that's 3 this week...) So this time I thought I'd show you how to cut up the perfect watermelon. Abram discovered this cool technique and I just thought I'd be selfish if I didn't share this with the world! Here we go! Start with a whole watermelon....
 Cut it in half.....
(make sure you are still wearing your PJ's...hehe)
Slice around the edge of the watermelon...
Cut slices long ways and across.....
Dump little chunks of watermelon into bowl....(this is the cool part)
Dog will beg for watermelon because doggies love watermelon (at least Misha does!!)
I made Abram finish cutting it up so I could eat it :) I'm sure a good wife!! Watermelon will be lunch today, and dinner, and dessert!! See ya soon watermelon!!
Breakfast was oatmeal with 2 packs of splenda to sweeten it up! It kept me full all morning and fueled me up for my Sunday run at the gym!
I ran the normal 3 miles at the gym today and 20 minutes in the weight room. I had another wonderful Sunday workout! We went to visit my gram and pap today~Abram and I tried to pick the rest of the blueberries but there was a TON of yellow jackets in there so we opted out! We came home with these goodies instead!
Yummy homemade beets & peppers! We are home now and plan to spend the rest of the evening being lazy....and maybe cleaning a little :) Look what Abram found!
Valentine's day M&M's!! I'm a candy hoarder!! See ya'll tomorrow!

Rainy Days = Girls Day!

It's another rainy one out there!! Breakfast was a whole wheat english muffin and an orange.

Today mom and I went to see Bridesmaids (for a second time) this time we went to the Dollar Theater! The last time we saw this movie it was actually on a rainy day! What are the odds? We indulged in popcorn for lunch and I also had a tootsie pop, healthy, I know. After the movies we came home and took a little nap before taking my dad out for his belated birthday dinner. He chose Outback Steakhouse. I had every intention of taking a picture of my dinner, but completely forgot by the time it came and well, no picture was taken. Sorry. I had a 6oz Outback Special~steak~with broccoli, salad and bread. I got a "doggie" bag and took the rest of my steak home for Misha. She is enjoying it right now as I blog. I hope to have some more exciting pics for you tomorrow. Hope you all had a great Saturday! I can't wait to get my Sunday run on tomorrow at the gym!!

TGIF...for realsies!

I can actually say TGIF this week! I don't have to work tomorrow AND I have Monday off. Loooonnnggg weekend ahead of me!! Now, what will I do with my time....?

This morning I made an oldie but a goodie~whole wheat english muffin with an egg white and veggie bacon.
I worked all day today~after work I came home and ran 2 miles, did sit-ups, butt bible workout and some light weight lifting. It felt good to exercise after a long day at work. Usually I don't like working out in the evening but today, I welcomed it! I gave in and started the new trend right now: Pinterest. I don't really understand it, but it sure is fun (and when I'm bored it fills my time)
Dinner was stuffed chicken breast~it was frozen, but it was actually really good! I used to eat these as a kid, but the breaded version. These were new & Abram and I both enjoyed the flavor!
We also had peas and macaroni and cheese. Half way thru making the macaroni, I realized we didn't have any milk so I decided to use Laughing Cow swiss cheese to make the macaroni. It was a little clumpy and dry, but it worked! Ya gotta use what ya have!

We will probably catch up on past episodes of this season's Hell's Kitchen since we missed a bunch of 'em! Have a great Friday night friends!
Question: Half way thru a recipe, have you ever realized that you didn't have an ingredient?

Parrrttyy's heeerree!

Thursday.......
Not much goin' on over here....I had the same breakfast as yesterday-because it was SO delicious then, it was just as delicious today :) I worked a shorter day than normal today, and at the end of my day I got a much needed haircut!! Thanks Mandi!
Cheesy picture, I know. It's not the best but sometimes bloggin' aint pretty! This evening I plan on making a quick and easy dinner because we are going to visit my gram & pap. Ok people, JERSEY SHORE is on tonight!!!!!! I am so excited I am wearing this shirt in honor of it!! Who's watching?!
Yes, I will be fist pumping tonight at 10pm! I am so glad tomorrow is Friday....I am so ready for the weekend!! Well, this has successfully been the most uninteresting post I've ever given. Sorry! I will try to be more interesting tomorrow!

Dad's Birthday!!

It's raining! I dropped my car off this morning but couldn't run back as planned. Guess the treadmill will be seein' me today!
Breakfast was Honey Nut Cheerios and a banana boat. It was delicious and I enjoyed every bite!!
Today is my dad's birthday!! Happy Birthday dad! Love you like crrraaazzzyyy! Your the best dad in the whhoooollle world! Your always there for me and have taught me so much. XOXO!

Today is also Why Not Wednesday?! Why not make your dinner at 10:30am? I have mentioned before that I hate eating dinner at work. It's hard to pack something that's not frozen or just plain old boring. Well today I decided to change that! I made my dinner this morning so I can pack it for tonight and not worry about it!! I steamed white rice...
Then I steamed my broccoli, sauteed my mushrooms, garlic, green peppers, soy sauce, water, garlic and a little sprinkle of sugar. STIR FRY FOR DINNER BABY!

I'm actually excited to eat this dinner tonight! Too bad I won't have any watermelon for dessert :( I polished it off last night and you better believe I'm picking up another one for the rest of this week! I ran 2 miles on the treadmill while watching my DVR'd episode of Pretty Little Liars. Have a great Wednesday!
Question: Do you have to pack a meal for work? Do you like it? Any ideas?

Bad dinner! Good breakfast!

Last night's dinner was kind of a disaster. The chicken was the best part of the meal and it wasn't even that good. The corn was HORRIBLE. Seriously, I have never had an ear of corn this bad before. Guess it's my fault because some random shopper at Wegman's told me not to buy the corn because it wasn't "fully developed" I kind of laughed at her and filled up my bag. I should have listened....
The asparagus was only okay. It was crunchy and I don't think Abram fully cooked it (which again was my fault because I told him only 3-4 minutes...apparently it takes more on our grill) Oh well, there will be more dinner's in our future that I'm sure will be as good as this one.
Tuesday I woke up with a headache, and was pretty sure I wasn't going to run. But something deep down inside of me told me to suck it up and do it. So, I laced up my running shoes and hit the treadmill! I only did a mile but I planned on doing another one later! Breakfast was waaaayyy better than last night's dinner...
Banana boat and a whole wheat english muffin with butter (one side is sprinkled with cinnamon to try something new!!) And of course my princess cup ;) After my appointment I ran another mile and completed my 2 miles for the day. I'm proud of myself because originally, I didn't think I would be able to "fit it in" and quite honestly, it freaked me out (aka exercise guilt) Lunch today was excessive amounts of watermelon. I think I'm gonna need to buy another one this week, I can't live without this stuff right now. OBSESSED. Alright friends, see ya tomorrow! I gotta drop my car off in the morning again, so I will be running to and from the shop...which means CRAZY HILLS. Yikes. Wish me luck!
Question: Do you suffer from exercise guilt?

Bethany = Lazy Blogger

Sorry I didn't blog yesterday. It was a lazy relaxed Sunday around here. We went to the gym, and when I got there I realized I forgot my headphones. So, I ran 3 miles on the treadmill with no music. At first I thought it was going to be terrible, but then as I started going I realized how much time I had free to think. It was actually a nice change!! After the gym we decided to spend the afternoon at the pool. After some sun & swimming, we went to the grocery store for a few essentials and came home to nap :) Dinner was tacos and then we spent the rest of the evening at my cousin Gina's visiting. We came home to this beauty, she needed a nap too!!
I swear, she could win a doggie beauty contest, don't you think?!?
Happy Monday by the way~Today I woke up and decided to get my run outta the way early since I like my workouts in the AM. I ran 2 miles on my treadmill in a little over 18 minutes. I worked a short day at the salon and for lunch I enjoyed some of the 50lb watermelon we bought yesterday at Wegman's!!
After a few bites of cottage cheese, I decided I wasn't feelin' it so I ate some Fiber One Honey Square cereal instead. I had it leftover from another day. This watermelon is sooooo addicting!! Seriously, I think I could eat the whole bowl by myself....which I probably will!
Tonight for dinner we are having grilled chicken & asparagus, and corn on the cob! Yummy fresh summer meal!! Dessert will most likely be watermelon~don't judge me! :) Have a really good night and happy start to your week!! I promise to be a better blogger this week! You can count on me!

Shortie Saturday

So last night, I somehow came out of my "funk" with the help of the Jersey Shore Marathon on MTV and I forced myself to workout. I ran 2 miles on my treadmill at home and did some light weights on the floor~focusing on my arms. I know the workout definitely helped, I need to remember this whenever I say, "I don't waaannna run todaaay" HELP KEEP ME FOCUSED!
This picture that my dad sent me from Atlantic City might have also had something to do with cheering me up!!
Seriously, thanks PARENTS for giving me such a sweet tooth!! Candy addiction from my dad and dessert addiction from my mom (cakes, cookies, fudge etc) I'm doomed.
Today I work at the salon until around 2pm~it's a shortie Saturday, no complaints here! After work we plan on going to visit my Gram & Pap, then who knows what our evening will involve. Tomorrow we are wide open so I think I will drag Abram to the pool :) AFTER the routine gym trip of course!! Have a wonderful Saturday!!
P.S. I am babysitting my mom's dog Ruby, here she is last night watching the Jersey Shore Marathon with me!

My "Blahh" Friday

I woke up over it today. I am just not in a great mood. I don't know what my deal is. I just keep thinking negatively. For example: On my drive to work I kept thinking, what do I have to look forward to the rest of this summer? I've already been on vacation. I work everyday of the week. Every day is the same, day in and day out. I need to get out of this funk!!!! Alright, moving on....
Today at work we are celebrating a co-worker, Billie's birthday. I made "cake batter" dip, Christine brought doughnuts, and Mandi brought fruit.

The doughnuts are beautiful, but I don't like them so I just took a pic to show you how pretty they are. The "cake batter" dip doesn't taste much like cake batter, mostly just whipped cream cheese. Oh well, it goes well with the fruit. I also put together this pretty skittle vase for her....
Don't worry, the flowers are fake and you can still eat the skittles :) Today's lunch was thrown together quickly before I left for work. Mixed green salad and cottage cheese.

I also snacked on lots of fruit and some little snackys with no dip (I didn't really like my own dip, how sad is that!!) Tonight I think we are going to have a basic, simple, no fuss dinner~comfort food~chicken noodle soup and grilled cheese. Hopefully I am in a better mood for ya'll tomorrow!!
Question: Do you ever have "blah" days where nothing seems to go right?
